I am a breast cancer survivor!
Everyday in Hong Kong, 15 more people are diagnosed with breast cancer and one out of 13 women in Hong Kong will suffer from breast cancer in their lifetime. As a breast cancer victim, I am fully aware of the trauma the disease has on patients and their loved ones.
I am very fortunate and grateful that I was being introduced to Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation early enough during the onset of my ordeal and they have been truly professional in holding my hands all through the journey of treatment and beyond. Without them, I am not sure my road to recovery will be as smooth, supported and informed.
Eight years on since my recovery, I am an active volunteer of the Foundation, continuing my effort to help victims of the disease.
